The Mid Isle Wildcats (HPEI zone 2) was put in place as a 2 year pilot project of HPEI in 2013. At the conclusion of the pilot project in 2016, HPEI moved ahead to continue the zoning of female hockey with the 4 zones (Western Wind, Mid Isle Wildcats, Central Storm, Kings County Kings) from the pilot project.
