Midget AAA league review - HPEI request for input

2019-05-02

A couple of notes that were overlooked in the memo but we’ve been asked to share.

If there is not enough support for the 2 major midget teams, the midget AAA league next year will be a 3 team league and there will NOT be a AA league. There will not be any interlocking play at the midget level, and the NB/NS teams in the Nova Scotia league have indicated they will not be entering into tournaments in PEI or most likely around the maritimes (ie, there will not be opportunities for top level PEI teams to play top level teams from NB and NS).

Again, everyone is encouraged to email there support/non support to Hockey PEI as per the memo.

No response is considered non support.

Below is from HPEI regarding a review of the Midget AAA league with the potential of playing in the NSMHL.

Please see the 2 attached documents for further information.

Hello,

Please find attached a memo from Mike Hammill, Hockey PEI President, and Jen MacDonald, Hockey PEI Female Director, regarding information and a request for feedback on the Nova Scotia Female Midget Hockey League.

We ask for your assistance in distributing the attached documents to your Bantam and Midget aged female teams and players as we continue to gather feedback on this matter.

You will note in the materials that a decision has not been made on this; we want to provide one final information update for all Bantam and Midget aged female players and parents so that we can gather as much feedback as possible in order for the Board to make an informed decision.

Thank you for your cooperation.
